What is NodeMail?
NodeMail is a native macOS email client (macOS 14 or later) built for people who run multiple mailbox accounts — cross-border e-commerce sellers, multi-store operators and marketing teams. The core capability: every account you add is permanently bound to a dedicated, stable network node, so that account's mail always flows through the same IP — with the proxy stack built in and no third-party proxy tools.
What does “one account, one node” mean?
When you add a mailbox you bind it to a node from your own proxy setup. From then on, all IMAP receiving and SMTP sending for that account egresses through that node's fixed IP. Subscription-level active-node rotation only switches which bound group is live — your account bindings never change silently.
Which email providers are supported?
NodeMail ships with presets for Gmail, Outlook.com, Microsoft 365 (with built-in OAuth — no Entra app registration needed) and Zoho (guided setup), plus any other IMAP/SMTP server. A direct, no-proxy mode works too.
Do I need my own proxy or Clash subscription?
Yes — NodeMail routes mail through nodes you provide. Configure a manual SOCKS5 upstream, paste a Clash/Mihomo subscription URL, or import a local .yml/.yaml Clash profile, which is validated and copied into the app. A per-node latency test measures round-trip times to Baidu, Google and GitHub. Without nodes, direct mode still works.
Is my password safe? Where are tokens stored?
Account passwords and OAuth tokens are stored only in the macOS Keychain — never in the mail database. Each Microsoft account uses a persistent embedded browser identity for OAuth, and deleting an account tears down its proxy, wipes its Keychain entries and cleans the database in one coordinated step.
Does sending mail also use my node?
Yes. SMTP sends egress through the account's bound node, so your sending and receiving IP is always consistent. Sent messages are appended to the server's Sent folder, and a queued outbox with automatic retry covers offline moments.
What's the difference between Free and Pro?
Free includes one mailbox with every core feature: node binding, the built-in proxy stack, live push, offline cache, Keychain security, notifications and all providers. Pro adds multiple (unlimited) mailboxes and priority email support. Pro purchases are coming soon.
Which platforms does NodeMail support?
NodeMail is a native macOS app and requires macOS 14 or later. Windows, iOS and other platforms are not available yet.
